Established in 2004, Somerby Golf Club is a private club offering its Members, families and guests the finest golf, recreational, social and business entertaining lifestyles. With the Club centered on the Tom Lehman and John Fought golf course, Members enjoy camaraderie, impeccable service and pride in belonging. The 18-hole championship course is accompanied by a 35,000-square-foot clubhouse including full menâs and ladiesâ locker rooms, golf pro shop, fine dining and grille room. This natural, classic Lehman-designed golf course blends harmoniously with its surroundings. The seasoned golfer as well as the enthusiastic novice thoroughly enjoys playing this challenging, fair and aesthetically pleasing golf course. Somerby, on multiple occasions, has hosted the PGA Tour’s Nationwide Series and has also been recognized for excellence in environmental stewardship by achieving the designation as a “Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary” by Audubon International. Position Description and Summary
Somerby Golf Club is searching for a dynamic individual, who is creative, well-organized and excited to be part of a team who is committed to providing unique experiences and building lasting relationships. The Membership Director focuses their efforts on membership growth, recruitment and retention, although highly involved and fully engaged in planning, marketing and participating in club social activities.
Qualifications and Requirements
- BS/BA in Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality or related field.
- Three to five years of related experience and proven track record in a commissioned sales position, preferably in a club environment.
- Motivated self-starter with hunter mentality and a desire for achievement.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including some weekends, evenings and holidays.
- Excellent written, analytical and oral communication skills.
Compensation
Excellent compensation available commensurate with experience, health insurance, 401k, PTO, continuing education, uniforms and employee meals. The Club will consider relocation expenses, is an employer at will and maintains a drug-free work environment.
