    Law Firm Director of Marketing and PR

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Required:

    • Formal marketing education.
    • Knowledge of digital marketing, lead generation, B2B and B2C strategies, and email marketing strategies.
    • Leadership and consensus-building skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
    • Organizational skills and the ability to work independently managing multiple projects and prioritizing work assignments.
    • Ability to adapt to and work within the firm’s culture, ability to help build and promote the firm’s culture within the firm.
    • Ability to communicate with and gain confidence of lawyers and staff.
    • Ability to learn the legal industry, particularly that of a plaintiff’s personal injury litigation law firm.
    • Ability to travel occasionally for professional development opportunities.

    Desirable:

    • Experience in marketing law firms, preferably in a law office environment.
    • Familiarity with the services provided by a personal injury litigation law firm.
    • Understanding of needs and expectations of law firm clients and referral sources.

    GENERAL DESCRIPTION: This individual will work independently and report directly to leadership. The Director of Marketing and PR will have the responsibility of overseeing all aspects of traditional marketing activities while remaining in compliance with Florida Bar Ethics and Rules. The goal of the position is to increase case referrals, law firm awareness as well as improve the client experience. The successful candidate will have creative and inspiring ideas consistent with the culture of the firm, and will be passionately committed to further developing and marketing the firm brand.

    DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

    • Design, facilitate and implement annual firm marketing plan; educate staff and professionals.
    • Assist in the development of a long-term (3-5 years) strategic business development plan
    • Establish, maintain and utilize marketing database for client communication, business development leads, projects, data analysis and report writing.
    • Prepare annual marketing budget for approval and monitor all marketing-related expenses.
    • Assist in the design and development of marketing materials, (i.e., digital, email, etc.).
    • Maintain listings, revisions and inventory of all firm collateral materials including practice area profiles, individual attorney/ consultant bios and business cards, firm profiles, and firm brochure and re-order as necessary.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with all marketing vendors (i.e., graphic designers, printers, seminar locations, printing houses, promotional supplies, law firm marketing companies, etc.).
    • Assist with writing, editing and proofreading any firm internal and external publications/announcements (i.e., papers, newsletters, client alerts, news releases and advertisements, etc.).
    • Assist with planning, coordination and execution of client seminars, lawyer speaking engagements, special events, and other ad hoc marketing efforts including Power Point presentations.
    • Assist attorneys with writing and placement of articles in newspapers, business and trade publications and on web pages.
    • Coordinate all internal and external requests for marketing material.
    • Oversee firm’s electronic marketing efforts including supervision of website design, updates and maintenance, the firms e-newsletter and social media platforms.
    • Evaluate and make recommendations as to firm participation to sponsor community programs.
    • Assist with and support firm’s involvement in business development and marketing activities.
    • Arrange for photography and news coverage for firm events.
    • Design and plan marketing training seminars for attorneys and staff.
    • Attend marketing training opportunities, seminars, conferences.
    • Monitor and support marketing activities of attorneys and staff as appropriate.
    • Conduct internet and marketing research as required and disseminate information appropriately.
    • Assist in establishing practice group teams and the development of marketing initiatives and opportunities for cross-marketing team services.
    • Support and facilitate development and implementation of practice group marketing plans.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Salary: $24.00 to $28.00 /hour
