Purpose:

Deploy tactical initiatives to achieve Heritage Tractor’s short and long-term performance goals, by leading a team of sales, parts, and service personnel to perform at extraordinary levels that exceed customer expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate and encourage personnel to perform at levels defined in their annual performance program to achieve the annual goals for the location’s performance
  • Operate a location within financial budget guidelines to achieve profitability goals
  • Hire and train location personnel and manage their compensation plans
  • Manage and approve all sales deals to assure they meet profitability goals, trade guidelines, and reconditioning guidelines
  • Engagement & execution of equipment sales to accomplish location metrics
  • Work with Parts and Service teams to drive performance and hit departmental goals with support from Division Aftermarket Managers
  • Communicate with the leadership team on a periodic basis about general performance issues, personnel issues, customer relationship opportunities, and other needs
  • Coordinate and participate in customer relationship activities that drive market share and satisfaction ratings
  • Be involved in the communities where the location conducts business to further the positive image of HTI in the community
  • Adhere to the process for moving equipment between HTI locations and maintain inventory accuracy
  • Work with sales personnel and Used Equipment Managers to properly evaluate used equipment inventories
  • Understand ag and turf products in order to effectively communicate with customers
  • Provide input on programs that enhance HTI’s overall business and implement decisions made by the leadership team
  • Inspect and maintain Heritage Tractor assets
  • Other duties as assigned

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:

o Two (2) years of college education or five (5) years of relevant experience in ag-related position

o Leadership qualities that inspire people to build trust and work toward a vision of success

o Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

o High ethical standards and a strong work ethic that builds trust in all relationships

o Results-driven performance mentality and accountability for their actions

o Problem solving and analysis skills to develop effective solutions

o Technology skills to interface internally and externally with John Deere systems

o Time management skills to be effective in the vital goal areas

o Works in a standard office environment, including consistently viewing a computer monitor and using keyboard/mouse

o Physical requirements include occasional lifting up to 10 lbs.
