The position begins June 1, 2020 with the hopes of shadowing the current, retiring Head of School before then.
The Head of School should be an experienced educator/educational administrator with a passion for leading a school who models a commitment to collaborate, motivate and mentor a gifted and devoted faculty. Holy Comforter Episcopal School requires a leader who embodies the mission of the School and who will be an active and communicative leader within the school family and community.
Professional Qualifications and Experience: The Head of Holy Comforter Episcopal School will possess at least a Baccalaureate degree in early childhood education (ECE) or a related major (child development, elementary education, early childhood special education).
The Head of School will carry a proven track record in educating young students to be academically and socially prepared for Kindergarten.
Curriculum experience is required.
Experience in public or private school is required.
Character Expectations: The Head of School will exercise integrity in his/her personal life and in his/her professional and community relationships.
Christian Faith: The Head of School will possess a strong personal faith, an active comfort and respect for the Episcopal Church (and its way of engaging faith and education) and a deep respect for the faiths of others.
Professionalism: The Head of School will exercise personal integrity, discretion and a commitment to ongoing personal and professional development. The Head of School will be an organized manager and competent leader who will seek an active working relationship with Holy Comforter Episcopal Schoolâs Director of Operations and with the clergy of Holy Comforter Episcopal Church.
Relationship Building Skills: The Head of School will possess a warm and engaging personality with a cherished sense about the children of Holy Comforter and the staff. He/she will actively nurture healthy relationships among faculty, parents, the School Board, the parish and the broader Angleton community.
The compensation for Head of School at Holy Comforter will be:
$50,000 annually plus benefits.
