The Innovation Group is looking for a Head of Operations (HOO). The successful candidate will be an important thought leader and advisor who will ensure operations are running efficiently and effectively for this innovative, mission-focused, diverse, collaborative, results driven, growing global company The Head of Operations will develop and implement changes in the company’s operating model in support of the strategy and the outcomes it seeks toachievecontinued financial success and organizational growth. The HOO will have 2 VPs and 2 Directors reporting to them.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Be a forward thinking company strategist focused on operations growth/development while meeting short and long-term profitability goals
  • Oversee policy development and procedures for US operational processes
  • Represent the organization in its relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Define and manage project scope, timeline, budget, manpower, risks and projects profitability
  • Lead 4 reports by defining roles and responsibilities and driving accountability
  • Deliver consistent communication to reporting teams and external customers
  • Ensure reporting team leaders have the needed resources to successfully perform work
  • Partner with the 4 reports to accurately/efficiently manage data, financials, and documentation
  • Ensure effective implementation of new technical platform (introduction, investigation, found efficiencies, and revised workload allocation)
  • Approve accounts payable, manage accounts receivable, and submitchange orders in a timely, urgent fashion
  • Maintain Works in Progress data and execute WIP meetings
  • Build customer relationships, understand currently assigned customers and project pipeline
  • Play an active role in business development
  • Manage and understand the supply chain and supply chain contractor network
  • Ensure milestone meetings (turnover, kick-off, progress, close-out meetings) are held for each project
  • Foster a proactive communication and collaboration environment with all team members

What we’re looking for:

  • MBA, PMP or Change Management certification experience desired
  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Finance, Business or related degree
  • Six Sigma experience highly advantageous
  • Commercial property experience desired
  • Claims handling insurance experience is desired, but not required
  • 16 to 20 years relevant experience
  • Experience implementing a technical platform into an organization desired
  • Strong project management and supervision experience
