Description

  • Responsible for the day to day operations of the Cherokee Rental Services division
  • Overall responsibility for the direction, supervision and development of all Cherokee Rental equipment and services.
  • Service offerings include rental of high pressure iron, pumping equipment, compressors, generators, gas busters, low pressure piping, pumping tools, BOPs, manifolds, etc.
  • Responsible for the efficient and effective performance of all commercial activities, including the sales to cash process
  • Oversight and managing the division’s pricing strategies, budgeting, and cost center along with leading a sales team to identify core assets to focus sales activities
  • Establish proper inventory management, maintenance expenses and proper depreciation of all equipment assets
  • Establish and maintain strong interpersonal relationships with all key contacts at existing and potential clients
  • Understand market dynamics relating to rental activities and track key competitors, prospects and need for equipment across multiple geographic regions
  • Develop short, medium and long term strategic plans for the rental division as well as expansion into other geographic markets to maximize utilization of existing assets
  • Develop asset management plan for recertifications, repairs and maintenance and retirement of assets
  • Develop business plans for geographic expansion into new markets (yard space, equipment mob, headcount requirements) to justify expansion and then track budget to actual performance
  • Understand rules and regulations for certifications of equipment and ensure compliance and proper record keeping
  • Partner with Cypress HR in regard to ensuring compliant management and development of employees
  • Partner with Cypress Finance business partner and provide to management a full and detailed analysis of performance, planning, forecasting for the division
  • Partner with Cypress HSE group to drive a culture of safe working practices free from environmental harm and adhere to EHS policies
  • Coordinate with other senior managers towards the betterment and benefit of the company

Education

Required

Bachelors or better.

Experience

Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or similar training and education.
10 years: • Experience in Oil and Gas Rental Services or related fields
5 years: • Full P&L responsibility
• Extensive understanding of rental services, both CAPEX and OPEX • Deep knowledge in managing 14,000+ rental assets, strong equipment background and rental services
• Very strong commercial acumen • Very strong use of MS Excel, asset management inventory systems (i.e. RTMS) • Must be a leader with the ability to work in a team environment, train, and mentor team. • Name recognition in the Oil and Gas rental services marketplace is a plus
