The Fleet Maintenance Manager, manages systems, processes, inventory, scheduling, and other system admin duties to ensure effective and efficient upkeep of lease and rental vehicles. The position ensures that all vehicles are safe, reliable, properly maintained, and available when needed. Assists shop staff in developing and maintaining vehicle maintenance schedules. This role is the point person for all maintenance vendor relationships. The position requests quotes, and pricing for outside maintenance and upon approval ensures work is completed appropriately. Prepares, completes and submits reports, paperwork and invoices on-time and correctly on vehicle maintenance. The position ensures (when necessary) that personnel receive training on vehicles updates, parts and processes, including vehicle maintenance records as required. The role monitors accuracy of parts inventory at all locations. Completes other duties as assigned.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Individual assigned to this job is responsible for the maintenance costs and condition of the assets in the Kriete Group Full Service Lease and Rental fleet. This includes but is not limited to the following:

– Develop and maintain relationships with customers alongside sales force

– Maintain scheduled and predictive maintenance intervals to industry standards and track

– Track running costs to industry standards or better

– Maintains maintenance records on all assets

– Repair order processing, tracking and billing

– Respond to breakdowns during and after business hours

– Oversee contract maintenance and preventive maintenance contracts

– Building and Outside vendor relations and managing: efficiency, quality and cost

– Purchasing is managed for the best value to the fleet

– Maintains a professional level working relationship with the Kriete Group Service Departments

– Develop best practices in dealer-leasing service environment and implementation

– Consults regularly with the Director of Fixed Operations

– Ensures all assets meet DOT and safety regulations

– Warranty recovery analysis

– Discuss parts inventory needs with Kriete Parts Management

Manages the organization’s maintenance systems to ensure all vehicles are safe, reliable, properly maintained and will pass annual state inspections.

1. Carry out a vehicle maintenance schedule for the fleet and ensure proper implementation.

2. Oversees planning and successful completion of state annual inspections for all locations.

3. Schedules, plans, and leads training meetings for mechanics, Operations staff and drivers on vehicle updates, new equipment and processes to assure optimal operational performance.

4. Is responsible for the admin and training of personnel on the use of the organizations Maintenance/repair software.

2. Create and maintain required records on-time, accurately and in accordance with Federal, State, DOT and company policies and procedures.

1. Oversees all fleet files related to the repair and maintenance of vehicles for easy of retrieval and reporting.

2. Work with service staff to maintain and communicate processes for ensuring completion and collection of all relevant documentation related to vehicle maintenance.

3. Maintain a master record of all vehicle annual inspections.

3. Work collaboratively with staff to support efficient Service Operations.

1. Assess and develop recommendation on fleet issues and concerns.

2. Maintain and support a safe work environment through good housekeeping, safety awareness training and employee involvement.

3. Support Service Operation activities to ensure services to customers are met.

4. Manages the vehicle maintenance process.

1. Ensure that the defined processes and procedures for implementing tracking, and processing vehicle maintenance are consistently followed in relation to the maintenance management system.

2. Monitor parts purchase process to ensure readiness, quality, cost-effectiveness and timeliness. Ensure that quality parts are purchased at competitive prices following established purchase procedures.

3. Works with the Service managers to determine and ensure completion of outside maintenance and repair work.

4. Monitors current vendors for quality and pricing while assessing other options.

5. Ensures that all core parts are returned and properly credited after completion of related repair work.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

· Must have good interpersonal skills and an ability to develop relationships.

· Must be able to obtain and/or retain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).

· Must have good skills involving the use of computers and other office equipment. Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Access are necessary.

· A strong ability to communicate information to others clearly and keep others informed appropriately.

· Use interpersonal skills to understand the needs of external customers and co-workers.

· Have the ability and desire to work cooperatively with others to help the team achieve its goals.

· Ability to manage and resolve conflict to gain the support of all parties involved

· Organizes work and sets priorities to achieve goals.
