Divisional Director

This Is What You’ll Do:

  • Responsible for bottom line responsibility for all phases of center operations. Direct Regional Director’s activities to ensure production goals, regulatory guidelines and customer requirements are met, costs are controlled and Donor Center Management teams are staffed with qualified individuals.
  • Establish and ensure that overall Donor Center performance objectives are met including employee development, Quality standards, financial standards, and production performance standards.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs groups to develop programs that evaluate compliance to assure optimum product quality and donor, employee, and environmental safety.
  • Develop effective leadership programs throughout the plasma organization through hiring, training, and effective succession planning.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvements throughout Plasma Operations.
  • Develop effective management tools to manage and monitor Donor Center performance to ensure goals are met.
  • Consult with Facilities group on Donor Center site selection, lease negotiation, and construction.
  • Support as a corporate liaison on legal issues involving Plasma Operations.
  • Establish production plan and monitor Donor Center progress to ensure that reporting is effective and implement necessary strategies to achieve desired results.
  • Establish and implement an effective Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) system to support compliance and auditing to support Quality systems that comply with Federal, state, local, and industry guidelines.
  • Support and implement activities related to material purchases, material control, inventory control, and material storage and transportation functions to meet Plasma Operations requirements. Maintain proper inventory levels.
  • Support and coordinate effective marketing programs to maximize production levels, donor retention, and outstanding customer service levels.

This Is What It Takes:

  • A bachelor’s degree is highly preferred. In lieu of a degree, five additional years of experience, over and above that noted below, will be considered.
  • Eight years minimum, progressively responsible management positions in a highly regulated, multi-location environment, including direct and indirect supervision of technical specialists performing under enforceable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
  • Relevant experience in planning and coordinating implementation policies and systems.
  • Leadership skills to provide vision and implement change through personnel.
  • Knowledge in concepts of continuous improvement programs. Knowledge of IRS and Generally accepted Accounting procedures, FDA cGMPs, and Octapharma Plasma SOPs preferred.
  • Manage revenue of ~$150 million in sales annually.
  • Production of ~ 1-1.5 Million Liters annually.
  • Implement and develop strategies to improve operations to ensure ongoing regulatory and customer compliance.
  • Develop programs that ensure recruitment, development, and retention of employees.
  • Ensure financial responsibility in managing expenses and cost control.
  • Oversee annual facilities assets of ~$1.5 million and expenditure of approximately $5 million.
  • Basic organization, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure and meet demanding deadlines. Ability to manage remotely and to directly manage on-going performance of centers.
  • Strong supervision and ability to develop and utilize tools such as strong follow-up and communication skills, management reporting, and quality and training programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including training, presentation, and negotiating skills.
  • Basic computer, typing, and mathematical skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent people skills which extends to a diverse group of individuals and demographics.
  • Be able to travel approximately ~50% via airplane and car to Centers.
