Director of Data

You will lead a team tasked with providing the transformation, analysis, and interpretation of RV data and making business impact. Your team will be consists of Database administrators, Data Engineers, Data Analysts, and Data Scientists. The ideal candidate is a thought leader with proven track record of driving enterprise data strategy and delivering business value with data. He or she shall be technically competent and able to communicate and collaborate effectively with Red Venture’s internal stakeholders and external partners to increase analytical efficiency, drive business insights, and develop value-add, data-driven solutions. What You’ll Do:

• Lead multi-functional, high-performance, data focused teams for one of the business verticals in Red Ventures
• Design and implement data strategies and systems.
• Oversee the collection, storage, management, quality and protection of data.
• Own team prioritization and roadmaps that become the creation and execution of analytics to improve and optimize business performance
• Partner with business stakeholders to lead efforts that deliver data-driven solutions, including the development and deployment of Machine Learning / Statistical Learning models for real-time or near-real-time business decision-making.
• Effectively communicate the status, value, and importance of data collection to executive members and staff.
• Provide analysis to inform strategic direction on business issues and opportunities

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics or related field, master’s degree and above preferred.
• At least 5 to 10 years of experience in a senior-level data management role.
• Strong leadership and communication skills. Capable of guiding and inspiring your teams and your colleagues to drive the best possible practices.
• Strong project and product management skills. Proven track record of driving enterprise data initiatives and data-driven solutions to successful deployment and delivering business value.
• Strong analytical problem solving skills. Experience working in a field using data analytics and machine learning.
• Professionalism and ethical behavior.
• Capable of guiding and inspiring your teams and your colleagues to drive the best possible practices
• Proficiency with business intelligence tools. Experience using visualization techniques for presenting data and analysis
• Experience with big data technologies such as: Spark, Scala, and AWS
