The Director of Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) operations will be responsible to provide oversight and leadership to a tax forms preparation outsourcing practice that provides services to customers who outsource their business and tax compliance reporting and processing. This individual will need to have experience a leader of a large organization with multiple managerial/supervisory levels and will be focused on scaling the organization for growth and profitability in collaboration with both senior leadership and the tax processing operations team.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
- Providing leadership and guidance of business process outsourcing services organization including the scalability and profitability of operations.
- Drive vision and strategy, road map, sales enablement/traction, and product lifecycle.
- Responsible for driving successful delivery of outsourcing services and representing the organization to the outside market, including customers, partners, and analysts.
- Responsible for creating strong working relationships and influence across leadership, product management, sales, marketing, engineering, and other functional groups to execute product strategy.
- Engage customer to develop/refine portfolio strategy, influence customer and industry direction, and execute strategy.
- Ensure product line performance and identify market trends and opportunities.
- Lead development and implementation of plans, policies, and strategies in support of business objectives. Create and track key performance metrics within business units.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support initiatives that drive operational and financial performance and growth. Resolve escalated issues and concerns.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Oversee and lead all business process outsourcing services operations including engagement with line of business leadership and senior leadership to drive operational scalability and efficiency.
- Drive process change and automation initiatives designed to increase productivity and capacity in a way that will facilitate scaled growth in capacity and market adoption.
- Manage and coach employees on all human resource related processes including: leadership accountability, selection, performance management, employee relations, terminations, compensation and rewards, employee development, etc.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
A strong understanding of stakeholder management; budget management, risk management and operations (efficiency, scalability, and expansion)
EDUCATION, TRAINING:
- 10+ years formal outsourcing management and/or product management experience coupled with demonstrated staff management experience;
- Bachelorâs degree in Business, Marketing, and/or organizational leadership required, MBA or post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, and/or organizational leadership preferred;
- Experience in operations leadership and/or product management at a fast-growing outsourcing services provider
- Proven track record running efficient operations and effective financial results (revenue generation, cost controls, and profit margin)
