Come join our team as PPD Digital revolutionizes the patient and site experience! We have an exciting position open for a Commercial Operations Director (or Associate Director). This role functions as a bridge between the virtual clinical teams and PPD commercial teams.
Essential Functions:
- Lead the scoping and costing of eClinical technology implementation projects to support virtual or digitally enabled trials (eCOA, wearables, telemedicine, etc.)
- Strong commercial, operations, or account management background within virtual and digitally enabled trial space, including attending bid defenses, presenting virtual/digital solutions and working cross-functionally among PPD divisions to develop compelling solutions.
- Translates the virtual trials operations strategy into the development and transformation of infrastructural support for PPD’s Virtual function.
- Leads initiatives to maximize salesforce effectiveness, utilization and optimization efforts.
- Establishes KPIs and performance metrics that lead to highly effective business visibility and decision making.
- Enhances the processes and tools to track and / or analyze account performance and territory / customer segmentation performance.
- Supports the annual operating plan and budgeting process.
- Develops and directs use of reporting tools and capabilities that enable effective analysis and communication for resourcing needs, priority reporting, and other needs as determined by operational strategy.
- Develops, directs, and implements various commercial operations initiatives that improve the monitoring and management of virtual accounts.

Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
- Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 12-15+ yearsâ) or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to scope eCOA and DE projects and make recommendations for technology solutions based on project parameters
- Demonstrated success in a similar role that has consistently achieved measurable results and business impact as a result of intelligence analysis and related work product
- Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and visual reporting formats
- Solid business acumen across multiple disciplines
- Exceeds at building/maintaining relationships across disciplines internally and externally
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate multiple projects simultaneously delivering all at a high-level under tight timeline constraints
- Ability to articulate analysis with strong presentation skills and contribute to executive-level discourse
- Well-developed quantitative and qualitative data review and analysis skills
- Understanding of the biotech/emerging pharma landscape and early identification of companies to target as customers
