Sr. Commercial Marketing Director – Brady

The Brady business is among the largest revenue contributors across Medtronic with an extensive global footprint and exciting emerging growth opportunities. The Sr. Director of Commercial Marketing for Brady will lead a team to develop strategies to gain share, develop and own the Brady portfolio and accelerate growth in a highly competitive environment. The individual is responsible for downstream marketing efforts, developing and executing the marketing plan for future and commercialized solutions and driving its execution through a team of direct reports, cross functional colleagues and global partners. We are looking for someone who will bring energized leadership, a competitive spirit and best-in-class marketing practices into the Brady business. This individual should also possess a global mindset to be able to achieve alignment between the geographies and the Strategic Business Unit (SBU).
A Day in the Life
- Understand implications of transvenous business, competitive and customer (physicians, patients, administrators and payers) trends to make strong contributions to the development of the strategic plan, product pipeline and annual operating plan.
- Develop a Brady marketing plan that establishes clear marketing objectives, strategies, initiatives and metrics to reach overall business goals. Direct responsibility for full execution in the United States. Expected to drive consistent positioning and messaging globally via influence management.
- Manage the Brady Marketing budget.
• Manage the hiring, development and performance of 6 marketing staff members and oversee their daily activities. Leverage team objectives, metrics and follow through to ensure execution. • • Optimal management of commercialized Brady product portfolio including inventory and phase-in/phase-out planning. • • Develop and execute the global launch strategy through product releases including education, sales programs, clinical study dissemination, integrated marketing communications plan and public relations.
- Partner closely with the Tachy and Emerging Market teams, as well as with the Portfolio Strategy team
- Business management: Analyze quarterly financials by region. Partner with geography marketing leaders to identify main drivers and business insights.
- In partnership with Tachy partner, lead Brady channel management and communication activities. These include U.S. Brady champions, CRM and pan-MDT co-promotion alignment with U.S. field leadership and global outreach and influence.
- Will need to cultivate strong relationships with U.S. field leadership, cross-functional colleagues, and geography partners to gain alignment and capitalize on opportunities.
- Direct convention and Advisory Board strategy and planning.
- Establish Brady KOL/Key Customer strategy and execution. Evaluate and implement market development efforts, patient and referral marketing plans as needed.
- Optimize global pricing and mix for Brady commercialized portfolio. Represent Brady on U.S. CVG pricing council and drive price preservation and reimbursement strategies globally.

- Directs the development of company market requirements for specific product(s) or product line(s).
- Leads and coordinates product planning, product launches, product management, market development and market research activities.
- Interacts directly with product managers to identify new marketing opportunities.
- Works individually or with a team in recommending action, scheduling and planning projects, estimating cost and managing projects to completion.
- Identifies unmet customer requirements and new business opportunities and provides vision and focus to move products from idea to market place.
- Facilitates and coordinates marketing activities with geographic areas to increase teamwork and build partnerships.
- Responsibilities may also include: coordinating trade show activities, website development, developing future e-commerce strategies, and tracking of marketing campaigns to evaluate results and provide recommendations for future marketing promotions.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
- Bachelors degree required
- Minimum of 15 years of marketing experience with 10+ years of managerial experience , or Advanced Degree with a minimum 13 years prior marketing experience, minimum of 10 years of managerial experience
- 5+ years’ experience in product/therapy marketing or market development
Nice to Have
- MBA
- 10+ years’ experience in medical device or healthcare marketing
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and competitive mindset
- Able to think strategically and shape future business direction
- Sales experience or strong history of collaboration with field personnel
- People management experience including team development
- Has worked in or with geographies outside of the United States
- Demonstrated understanding of global medical device economics and pricing
