Job Duties:
Responsible for independently leading all aspects of the entire commercial credit process both internally and externally with prospects and clients. Underwrites, structures, and documents all SBA prospect and client transactions above a designated threshold, generally the most complex and largest client relationships and circumstances. Ensures all Credit Process Metrics are within prescribed tolerances. Direct client contact as well as collaboration with sales partners is an integral part of the position. Accountable for the risk evaluation and associated compliance requirements as defined in respective roles and responsibility matrix for AML, CRA/HMDA, Reg B, and other regulatory/compliance requirements within assigned portfolio and for prospects. Approves interim new money requests for relationships managed up to a defined limit. May have management responsibility for a small group of portfolio managers or analysts.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelorâs Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Subject Matter Expert level understanding of accounting and finance, financial statement and cash flow analysis.
5-7 years of specialty SBA lending experience
8+ years of experience in underwriting, portfolio administration and commercial loan credit decision-making.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Completion of Commercial Banking Training Program
10 years of experience in Commercial Banking portfolio management
