Newly established Retail Community Bank strategy team is looking for a thought-leader with distinctive analytical and problem solving skills to help shape the strategy for Truist’s combined Retail Community Banking organization. The individual will be based out of Charlotte, North Carolina and will work directly with other members of the strategy team as well as senior leaders of the Retail Community Bank, Finance, and Corporate Strategy team. The thought-leader will drive the development, execution, and impact from key strategic initiatives that will differentiate Truist and help cement its position as the 6th largest bank in the US. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Formulating, and launching differentiating 2-3 year strategic initiatives across multiple household segments and products (across deposits and lending)
- Understanding and leading consumer research to define transformational shifts in financial service behavior in consumer banking
• Work across technology team to prioritize critical high value customer journeys • Development and supervision of strategic planning activities
- Counsel to senior leadership on health of initiatives, apply course correction activities as necessary
- Build business case for specific initiatives that help drive activities to improve efficiency of acquisition or improve retention
- Building a backlog of features based on competitive offering May manage staff of strategic planning professionals. Counsels senior management on strategic plan and other issues.
Minimum Requirements:
- MBA degree and 10-12 years of relevant strategic planning experience in consulting, investment banking, private equity or corporate development (engagement manager or equivalent)
- Expert modeling / financial analysis skills
- Strong communication skills (syndication with senior executives)
- Demonstrated experience in leading growth initiatives with regular interactions with C-level executives
- Strong presentation skills
- Confident, and independent self-starter
- Ability to strategize AND execute
