ABOUT THE TEAM:
FIS is looking for a Technology Project Manager I to join our IFS Implementations team in Orlando, FL. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a well-established and highly functional PMO organization.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING?
The Project Manager I will be responsible for managing customer facing and internal FIS projects within the Implementations organization. This position will provide the right candidate with an opportunity to learn how to implement FIS products and how to provide project management support to both internal and external customers.
Planning and coordinating all aspects of technical projects from initiation through delivery.
Managing project initiation activities including identifying needs and goals, existing situation, necessary contacts and access to existing information as needed.
Ensuring requirements for internal technology projects align to operational standards. Developing alternate requirements or documenting exceptions as appropriate.
Developing, defining and executing project plans, project scope, activities, schedules, budgets and deliverables.
Interacting with product development, technology solutions, service delivery and/or other cross-functional teams.
WHAT YOU BRING:
The ideal candidate will have bank operations and/or data center experience, experience working with banking applications as a user, analyst or trainer, strong communication and organizational skills and the ability to interact effectively within all levels of FIS and client organizations.
Prior banking project management experience highly desired
Ability to utilize judgment in decision making process and decisions related to job tasks
Ability to meet tight deadlines
Excellent skills in communicating ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise and professional manner including presentations
