    POSITION/TITLE: Project Manager

    DEPARTMENT: Engineering

    REPORTS TO: VP of Engineering

    POSITION SUMMARY: The duties include but are not limited to travelling to customer sites, understanding technical challenges and providing solutions, following up with current and new customers. Manage the project through the entire mold building process. The main point of contact for the customer that starts at the receipt of the purchase order through the delivery of the mold at the customers facility. Technical sales manager keeps the entire team update on budget and project timelines.

    NATURE OF ASSIGNMENTS / DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    · Ability to go into customers’ locations and identify technical challenges and inefficiencies.

    · Ability to provide solution-based selling to customers

    · Working with Engineering team, provide accurate quotes to the customer that maintain companies’ margins

    · Insure project budget is kept up to date and meet project targets.

    · Maintain organization of the project to insure all details are controlled.

    · Leads the cross functional team to insure all phases of the program are achievable and signed off in a timely manner.

    · Work with account manager to track and manage job flow.

    · Upon project completion, prepare and present project overview to management to insure budgets were achieved.

    · Manage all changes or delays driven by the customer or internally.

    · Support continuous improvement ideas.

    · Participate in cross functional teams and other duties as required.

    · Responsibilities are not limited to above. There may be time when miscellaneous work assignments will need to be completed as directed by management.

    · Work with designs of compression molds.

    SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, ETC:

    · Knowledge of the SMC and GMT processes in a production setting.

    · Tool design experience is a plus.

    · 3 to 5 years’ experience in a machine shop environment.

    · 3 to 5 years’ experience working within the Project Management structure.

    · Understanding and use of Microsoft office suite.

    · Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    · Ability to meet deadlines; accomplish work in order of priority; professionally maintain composure and effectiveness under pressure and changing conditions while maintaining confidentiality.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to lift and move objects up to 20 pounds. Must be able to talk, walk, stand, and sit an office environment.
