Overview

Milestone Technologies is seeking entrepreneurial, collaborative and driven leaders to fill our Infrastructure Project Manager – Transition Services and Digital Transformation role. The Project Manager will partner with clients to develop detailed plans to leverage program management best practices and new infrastructure technologies to drive client business value in a variety of scenarios. Work may include post-merger integration program plans, optimization of IT spend/value, high level design of digital transformation platform implementation plans, and mitigation of both IT and business risks through infrastructure improvements. The Infrastructure Project Manager works at the direction of the VP, Transformation Services and Digital Transformation and will have a collaborative working relationship with other senior leaders and external parties such as partners, industry analysts, and key customers.

Responsibilities

As a key contributor to Milestone Technologies’ Transition Services and Digital Transformation capability, you will be responsible for developing infrastructure modernization roadmaps, formulating infrastructure transformation program plans, and providing program management support for key client business and IT initiatives. This is a hands-on role and requires considerable depth in infrastructure implementation with an ability to dive into details with clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate client business challenges and help them develop detailed infrastructure transformation initiatives and roadmaps.
  • Develop detailed infrastructure program plans, considering organizational change management, technical feasibility, key dependencies, available budget, and relevant risks.
  • Perform due diligence on existing infrastructure program plans, assessing and documenting technical and business implementation risks, suggested improvements to program management artifacts/communications/etc., and other areas as needed
  • Anticipate and communicate complexities associated with consolidating various systems and/or infrastructure across multiple platforms and business areas/entities
  • Evaluate and identify IT-related risks, including compliance, operations, revenue and growth risks.
  • Collaborate with clients and business analysts to translate business requirements into technical requirements
  • Assist clients with managing an IT Program Management Office, to include prioritization of programs/projects, interdependency analyses, status reporting, and risk/issue mitigation
  • Other duties as assigned in support of Milestone’s Transition Services and Digital Transformation offerings to clients

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, business, or a quantitative discipline (math, engineering, science or related) required; MBA or other advanced relevant degrees considered a plus
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 80%
  • Strong knowledge of Infrastructure Project Management, including experience with programs/projects in multiple infrastructure domains (network, server, storage, cloud, security, etc.)
  • Strong expertise with one or more relevant Program and Portfolio Management Tools (MS Project Portfolio Management, Changepoint, Planview, Clarizen, etc.)
  • Experience with Requirements Development for the enhancement, replacement, or introduction of IT infrastructure
  • Demonstrated experience consulting in at least several of the following IT disciplines:
    • IT road map development
    • IT strategy development
    • IT transformation
    • IT due diligence and post-merger integration
    • Enterprise architecture
    • IT risk mitigation
    • IT sourcing and procurement
    • Cloud computing
    • IT program delivery and enterprise software implementation
  • Exposure to multiple businesses, business domains, and industries
  • Working knowledge of infrastructure technologies, including recent advancements in cloud, SDN, identity management, etc.
  • Experience leading teams through program tasks and collaborating across multiple functional/technical teams to deliver a program
  • Experience presenting Infrastructure Project Plans and business cases to Steering Committees
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to use MS Office Productivity Tools to present plans and other documents (MS Word/PowerPoint, etc.)


Desired:

  • Experience and/or certification in one or more of the following areas: Agile/Scrum, Program/Project Management (PgMP/PMP), Lean Six Sigma, ITIL, etc.
  • Previous IT or Management Consulting experience
