Collaborative Construction Solutions, LLC (CCS) is a Battle Ground, WA based Commercial General Contractor that performs projects throughout the United States. We are currently seeking to add an experienced Project Engineer/Associate Project Manager. Duties:
- Accurately prepare and expedite submittals
- Process shop drawings and maintain up-dated logs.
- Prepare, expedite & follow-up on client RFI’s
- Monitor and update project schedules with Project Managers & Superintendents.
- Participate in project meetings (may be required to take minutes).
- Assist in maintenance of project files.
- Review trade duration (with subcontractors) for input to the Project Schedule
- Support the quality control and punch list process.
- Assist in processing subcontracts and purchase orders.
- Research, locate and procure subcontractors and material.
- Assist in marketing efforts.
- Ensures all subcontracts are executed and subcontractor insurance coverage are in place and meet contract and project requirements.
Estimating Responsibilities:
- Assist with a Subcontractor database.
- Assist with assembling Bid Documents for pricing.
- Specification review and preliminary scope development.
- Quantity take-off.
- Organize the take-off using spreadsheets.
- Develop bid clarifications and RFI’s.
- Participate in the project “Walk-Through” as required.
- Assist in proposal writing.
Required Attributes:
- 2+ years of experience as a project engineer or project support specialist; ability to work independently when needed yet is also a strong team player.
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field recommended but not necessary, or equivalent work experience.
- Knowledge of project management software
- Retail/Government/ Commercial Construction experience is desirable.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills to establish and maintain client relationships
- Proficient computer skills in areas of word processing, data base and spreadsheet applications.
- Ability to follow filing systems and procedures.
- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize and problem solve to meet project time restraints.
- Ability to read and understand blue prints/ drawings; prepare take-offs and material pricing and project estimating and securing material.
- Possess strong oral and written communication skills in order to serve as a representative of our company with government agencies, architectural firms, subcontractors and vendors.
