The President & COO of Rowan Medical Center will lead the development and implementation of a acute care services plan for providing patient care consistent with the health system’s mission, goals, values, and strategic plan. Collaborate with organizational leaders and manages interdependencies across divisions to design and provide patient care and services including development of patient care programs, establishment of standards of practice, standards of patient care, and policies and procedures. Participate in the strategic development and identify impact of strategies and plans on upstream and downstream areas in order to plan and minimize negative impact. Collaborate with Accreditation and Regulatory, compliance, risk and other associated system teams to assure and lead the facility’s compliance with standards. Assess, monitor and drive the Human Experience across the facilities. Develop, lead and oversee improvement efforts and engage in change management. Engage in patient flow initiatives and how those specifically translate into the facility’s initiatives. Community engagement – be the face and ambassador of Novant Health with the community, engage in community activities, identify opportunities to have interactions with representatives in the community (i.e.; rotary, engagement with community leaders, etc.) Successfully onboard and develop a strong listening and engagement atmosphere with medical staff/physicians, team members, and community. Demonstrate success toward achievement of organizational and individual facility goals. Actively work on actions and initiatives to achieve long range planning goals and to achieve operational targets. Manage financial and human resources to provide the most appropriate and efficient utilization for the workload. Actively seek revenue opportunities, Facilitate opportunities to reduce inefficiency/waste within the organization, Achieve performance metrics.

Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree required.Healthcare / Business Administration or Related field.

Experience: Minimum six years progressive management experience in an acute care setting, preferably within a large, integrated health system. -
Additional skills required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing; possess knowledge of current leadership, management, and business concepts, and the ability to participate in developing and implementing organizational strategies to address opportunities to improve organizational performance; possess the educational and experiential requirements of leadership; possess personal / professional / educational attributes as defined by federal, state, local law and regulation.
