A regional-multi site position responsible for promoting positive patient outcomes by assessing, trending, and driving site training, orientation, and service excellence activities, ensuring TRUE HOPE values in quality care. Collaborates with Regional Managers, National Directors, and site leadership to ensure that training, monitoring and improvement activities are designed to enhance the knowledge/skills/attitudes of Seasons Hospice professionals and are in compliance with all regulatory requirements and accreditation standards. Supervises Regional Managers in Learning and Development and assists with project management for deliverables related to training and development needs in their assigned region.

Leadership
1. Collaborate with National/Regional Directors to ensure employee training supports the established standards for patient experience, and to ensure a culture of service excellence across all Seasons programs.
2. Direct, mentor, and supervise Regional Managers in Learning and Development in their assigned region.
3. Partner with site Leadership Team in monitoring patient care and/or staff problem areas and select appropriate Performance Improvement Projects.
4. Support PIP teams and guide implementation of solutions for local and national PIPs (Partnering for Improvement Projects).
5. Manage projects in collaboration with National Directors of Learning and Development Instruction.
Education
6. Support site best practice specialists in collaboration with Regional Managers of Learning and Development.
7. Support Regional Learning and Development Managers and local leadership to coordinate and participate in a multifaceted training program which focuses on the elements of the compliance program and seeks to ensure that all relevant employees and management are knowledgeable and compliant with pertinent federal and state laws.
8. Evaluate and enhance training and competency checks in order to ensure continued appropriateness, relevance and consistency with current standards of care.
9. Monitor and assist as needed with the provision of internal staff competency assessment and remedial training in collaboration with the site’s Director, Clinical Operations, and Team Directors.
Compliance
10. In conjunction with National/Regional Compliance department, assist site Leadership Team in implementing corrective actions associated with compliance matters.
11. Assist Compliance department in creating/supporting an organizational culture committed to the protection of private health information.
12. Promote regulatory compliance and quality patient care by participating in development, implementation and ongoing monitoring of training programs.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.
1. Bachelor of Science, Nursing (BSN); Registered Nurse (RN), Master of Social Work (MSW), or Master of Music Therapy required; license in state(s) in which they are assigned.
2. Certification in Hospice and Palliative Care (CHPN) and Registered Nurse – Board Certified (RN-BC) certification preferred.
3. Ability to identify, prioritize, coordinate and implement training exercises for all hospice disciplines.
4. Hospice management and supervisory experience preferred.

5. Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements preferred.
6. Experience in the state survey process preferred. Knowledge of the Joint Commission accreditation process preferred
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; computer literate including demonstrated ability with use of Outlook for e-mail and Calendar Management, Word, Excel, and Power Point/Prezi development.
8. Excellent personal, administrative and organizational skills.
9. Experience in influencing and working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to keep projects on schedule.
10. Comfort working independently, managing multiple projects and deadlines, and reprioritizing tasks.
11. Ability to offer constructive creative guidance to diverse stakeholders within SHPC.
12. Ability to follow directions and respond well to constructive criticism.
