    Polsinelli is hiring for a Project Manager in our Labor and Employment Department.

    CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Work with L&E Department (e.g., Department Chair, Practice Group Leaders, Administrative Teams, Attorneys, Staff) on identifying, strategizing, prioritizing, and delivering on all projects within the Department.
    • Work with L&E Department to identify and create internal and external client service products that enhance client experience.
    • Work with L&E Department to identify and create internal checklists and products that enhance client work product.
    • Help L&E Department identify client service opportunities, as well as prepare for and follow up on business development meetings and presentations.
    • Assist and coordinate the development of Business Plans for L&E Department.
    • Work with L&E Department on developing and reviewing L&E Department analytics.
    • Gather and analyze information to create professional and accurate presentation materials for L&E Department meetings, internal and external client meetings, and other meetings or presentations.
    • Work with L&E Department in coordinating lateral and associate attorney integration activities.
    • Work with all Departments, including administrative departments, to ensure completion of L&E Department’s specific goals in timely and collaborative manner.
    • Stay current regarding developments in marketplace related to competition, client demands, legal industry trends, and technology.
    • Identify areas for process improvement, utilizing process mapping, best practices, and technology to implement improvements.
    • Facilitate strategic discussions and deliver targeted business objectives for projects.
    • Work with business users and subject matter experts to gather requirements for projects.
    • Facilitate and obtain timely review and sign-off on all deliverables.
    • Create, and ensure execution of, project work plans, including the identification of resources needed; re-forecast plans as appropriate to reflect changing needs and requirements; and document reasons for change.
    • Define, develop, and implement quality assurance practices and procedures, end-user test plans, and other QA assessments as needed.
    • Facilitate regular project status meetings, document meetings with detailed minutes, and follow-up on all action items and issues.
    • Remove barriers that arise during projects; facilitate project transitions and lessons-learned discussions; and ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Demonstrated project lifecycle experience including feasibility studies, opportunity assessments, business case development, user requirements definition, software selection, design, testing, implementation planning, issue resolution, and post-implementation support.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, delivering on time and within budget; ability to handle numerous changes to projects, including frequently changing priorities, with positive and calm demeanor.
    • Demonstrated ability to assess business issues and quickly turn that information into action.
    • Demonstrated experience with change and risk management processes and methodologies.
    • Proven ability to create and maintain positive firm culture and collaborative working environment; mentoring and leadership skills to build and support cohesive and effective project teams;
    • Ability to contribute to a professional work environment by demonstrating integrity, promoting team work and fostering positive communication.
    • Successful presentation and explanation of complex concepts and strategies efficiently and effectively to senior management, including Board of Directors, C-Suite Executives, and Department Chairs; ability to lead calls with law firm clients.
    • Demonstrated and highly-motivated self-starter with a successful track record of working without direct supervision; looking to add value to projects, initiatives, L&E Department and law firm; contacting stakeholders proactively with recommendations; taking ownership of personal professional development; and natural curiosity to learn, identify new processes and practices, and improve existing processes and practices.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills; strong attention to detail; exceptional accuracy; and proven ability to create professional and accurate presentation materials.
    • Proficient in Microsoft programs: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, MS Project and Outlook.
    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Minimum of 5 years in Project Management; PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification preferred
    • Law firm experience preferred; Am Law 100 experience highly preferred
    • Flexibility to work all hours necessary and to travel up to 25%
