Summary:

The Vice President of Strategic Partnerships (VPSP) will define, develop and execute strategies to build new partnerships and maintain existing ones, utilizing a diverse set of outreach and engagement approaches, in order to grow Kennedy Community Health’s presence. The VPSP will bring excellent skills in identifying and cultivating cross-sector partnerships with public-, private- and non-profit leaders. They will work with the goal of amplifying the work of the organization and advancing its mission and vision through strategic partnerships. The VPSP will be responsible for making measurable, positive, scalable impact on the communities Kennedy Community Health serves. The VPSP is responsible for expanding external relations (community, government, corporate) and informing partners of strategic goals.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the President and Chief Executive Officer to advance the mission and vision of Kennedy Community Health through strategic partnerships
  • Strengthen the “Kennedy Community Health” brand amongst various constituencies at the local, state, and national levels
  • Collaborate with other leadership to define short- and long-term goals and strategies for growing partnerships, including those that are non-revenue-generating
  • Engage all levels of staff, especially those who live, work, and play in the communities that we serve, to identify potential new partnerships
  • Execute targeted outreach strategies to individuals and organizations to build new partnerships
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with existing contacts at partner organizations
  • Develop new engagement strategies (in coordination with the Advancement Department and site leadership), such as meeting attendance, event tabling, webinar participation, panel appearances, and conference presentations, to create more robust partnerships and ensure alignment of all organization-wide external activities through a centralized process
  • Seek out opportunities to increase the organization’s thought leadership profile and reputation as an innovator
  • Promote the organization’s legislative agenda through both grassroots advocacy and local, state, and federal government relations and serve as the primary contact for elected officials and their staff
  • Serve as the liaison to the districts and schools in which we have school-based health centers (“SBHCs”)
  • Serve as a representative of the organization within the communities we serve and the larger health center movement (NACHC, MLCHC, CHNAs, Chambers of Commerce, Governmental agencies, etc.)
  • Adjust as needed to reflect changes in organizational priorities and external environment
  • Provide support in strategic management of the Board of Directors including board engagement, strategy and evolution
  • Establish and monitor project budgets


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 10+ years of experience in relationship management/partnership development that shows increasing responsibilities and a track record of success
  • Demonstrated skills in developing strategic relationships that reflect organizational priorities
  • Experienced in writing content in multiple formats for diverse audiences
  • Access to personal network of colleagues and expertise in the field
  • Experienced public speaker
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast paced environment
