The Vice President of Quality and Patient Safety provides leadership and organizational wide direction, development and implementation of services and programs within assigned areas.
Fawcett Memorial Hospital is a 237-bed, full-service acute care hospital serving Charlotte County and the surrounding areas since 1975. Port Charlotte is located where the Peace River meets the Gulf of Mexico, just north of Fort Myers and south of Sarasota. Numerous waterfront communities, art and cultural programs, spring training and pristine nature year-round, make it a beautiful Florida destination. Clinical specialties include an ER, accredited Community Cancer Program, Advanced Primary Stroke Center, Joint Commission certified Orthopedic and Spine Center, wound and hyperbaric medicine, minimally invasive surgery, CARF accredited inpatient rehabilitation, and many outpatient programs.

Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing; Post Graduate Degree in Nursing or Healthcare related field required or in process
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience. Knowledge of State, Federal, and JCAHO regulations. Previous experience in the clinical, risk management, and/or administrative arenas preferred.
Licensure:
Current FL RN license Preferred or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 90 days of hire.
Training:
CPHQ (Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality) OR CHCQM (Diplomate in American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians)
Individuals without CPHQ or ABQUARP will be granted a 12 month grace period to obtain CPHQ or ABQAURP to obtain, if all other qualifications are met.
