Reporting directly to the CEO/President, the VP of IT’s role is to plan, coordinate, direct, and design all strategic and operational activities of the IT department, as well as provide direction and support for IT solutions that enhance mission-critical business operations. Will collaborate directly with the executive management team and decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization. Moreover, the VP of IT ensures defenses are in place against security breaches and vulnerability issues. The VP of IT is also responsible for auditing existing systems, while directing the administration of security policies, activities, and standards.

Possess a combination of education and experience that demonstrate the knowledge and ability to perform the work. A University degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or business administration is required. Master’s degree in either fields with technology as a core component preferred.
5 years experience managing and/or directing an IT operation.
10 years experience working in the technology industry.
Experience in strategic planning and execution.
Considerable knowledge of business theory, business processes, management, budgeting, and business office operations.
Substantial exposure to data processing, hardware platforms, enterprise software applications, and other outsourced, hosted or cloud-based systems.
