The College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) is a nonprofit membership organization serving Chief Information Officers and Senior Healthcare Information Management Executives. We are currently seeking a Senior Project Manager for CHIME. This highly visible position reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to directly impact the foundational elements of the organization, enabling CHIME to fulfill its mission: Exceptional Leaders Transforming Health & Care. The implementation of new association management system (AMS), learning management system (LMS), and other business systems core to CHIMEâs growth is a key element of this position.
The Sr. Project Manager will work in concert with internal business owners and external cloud-based software partners to perform project and resource planning. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with leading the implementation of cloud-based business management systems and managing large and small projects using agile and other methodologies. The Sr. Project Manager will act as the stakeholder advocate to ensure the project meets the approved goals and timelines.
Job Duties
- Establish project plans and major milestones for all phases of the project, from software selection to implementation to software release.
- Define scope of business system implementation and develop plans using project management software and/or other tools.
- Manage the contracting process between CHIME and external partners. Liaise with partners and internal stakeholders to ensure on-time deliverables and resolution to issues.
- Create a detailed program management plan that includes the selection and successful implementation of multiple business systems, and how these systems will enable growth initiatives for the organization.
- Execute appropriate project management strategy to ensure project success.
- Monitor projects daily and effectively communicate project status to CHIME management, project stakeholders and partners.
- Initiate, direct and lead project meetings.
- Develop the foundational elements of a project management office for CHIME.
- Identify resource needs and work with management to fill open positions.
- Drive the teams to complete deliverables and meet deadlines as established within the strategic planning sessions.
- Have strong leadership skills to motivate staff members, and work with the team to come up with innovative solutions for day-to-day business issues.
- Regularly review and evaluate project performance using appropriate project tools. Implement continuous improvement practices.
- Operate within project management best practices as defined by company; e.g. control scope, prepare reports, maintain schedules and cost plans, manage and control for risks, and oversee project health from inception to completion.
- Manage the documentation of internal business processes and develop a plan to automate process where appropriate, and develop change management plans for converting from manual to automated processes.
- Develop and execute functional and user acceptance testing practices with internal stakeholders and partners
- Create, oversee and facilitate training program for internal CHIME staff and CHIME members
Qualifications
- 10+ years of project management experience.
- 2+ years of change management experience.
- Advanced skill and proficiency using MS Word, Excel, Visio, and project management software.
- Experience developing and supporting association management software is highly preferred.
- Experience developing and supporting learning management software is highly preferred.
- PMP certification is required.

- Bachelors Degree Required
