The Finance Reporting Group Manager is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department in an effort to provide regulatory analysis and reporting in coordination with the Finance team. Additionally, the Finance Reporting Group Manager develops reporting and control procedures to accurately prepare information required for financial reporting and analysis. The objective of this role is to ensure business/department financials are prepared and delivered in a timely and accurate manner.
Responsibilities:
This individual will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a technology quality control process over the Y-14 Schedules that will drive continuous improvement in the completeness and accuracy of Y-14 reporting. More specifically, the Head of Y-14 Technology Quality Control will be responsible for:
- Reviewing and ensuring EUCs conform with Citi’s EUC Policy and contain accurate Y-14 regulatory logic
- Ensuring EUC owners have current documentation on EUC controls, calculations and regulatory logic.
- Conducting systems logic reviews to determine conformance with rule interpretation guidance provided by the Regulatory Interpretative Office
- Providing recommendations on improvements and quality standards in the technology tools used in the Y-14 reporting process.
- Reviewing data lineage and date tracing results to ensure technology tools are operating effectively as designed.
- Providing results from in-depth technology reviews to the pre-issuance Y-14 reporting pack.
The Head of Y-14 Technology Quality Control will ultimately be responsible for managing the responsibilities listed above and building a support team of 4 professionals.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- Proven track record delivering high quality results on large technology based projects or working in transformation teams analyzing technology effectiveness and design.
- Extensive experience in technology supporting regulatory, finance and/or risk management reporting (such as Market Risk, Wholesale Credit Risk, and/or Financial Planning & Analysis)
- 7+ years of related work experience in Financial/Regulatory Reporting, MIS or Technology Auditing within a major global financial institution or Big 4 Public Accounting firm.
- A strong familiarity with Citi’s Risk and Finance reporting infrastructures and platforms (e.g., Genesis, Optima, Ruby, CVA Aggregator, RegInsight), across multiple products, functions, and/or businesses, (a plus).

- Strong leadership experience, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make key decisions.
- Able to leverage relationships and work collaboratively across an organization.
- Strong organizational skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with ability to present complex concepts in a concise, succinct manner to all organizational levels.
- Strong interpersonal skills including influencing, facilitation, and partnering skills.
Professional skills:
- Well developed and seasoned leadership qualities, capable of building a team, formally defining roles and responsibilities within that team, and coaching/mentoring staff’s skill development.
- Effectively managed remote teams in low cost locations (preferred)
- Experience with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators and internal senior management.
- Ability to quickly assimilate and analyze large amounts of information, think strategically and tactically, and make well-reasoned decisions with appropriate engagement from key stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and tasks, and escalate, voice concerns or raise questions to management.
- Strong attention to detail, leads by example, strong work ethic and dedication and commitment to the role.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree/University degree majoring in MIS or Finance; minor in computer science (preferred)
- Completed accredited classes or curriculum on computer coding
