Job Title: Senior Director of Talent Management & Acquisition
Job Description:
We are currently seeking a Senior Director of Talent Management and Acquisition! The Senior Director of Talent Management and Acquisition is responsible for leading and driving an innovative shore-side talent acquisition strategy and road map for Carnival Cruise Line as well as ABG. The individual will partner with business leaders, functional leaders and shore-side recruiting team to develop and execute on initiatives that drive successful recruiting outcomes and strengthen Carnival’s brand including developing effective talent management strategies, expanding the use of data/analytics to inform decisions, scaling and processes. The Sr. Director, will also lead/drive the shore-side organizational change management approach and design as well as Employee Engagement and culture initiatives. This role will lead the design, development, implementation, and ongoing management of shore-side talent management programs such as Succession Management, Performance Management, Career Management, Competency Management, Assessments and mentoring.
Essential Functions:
- Lead, coach and direct an experienced solution-oriented Talent Acquisition team and Talent Management team providing guidance and development to the team to execute against objectives and adjust to shifting organizational priorities.
- Develop and execute best in class talent acquisition processes and procedures which include but not limited to talent acquisition planning,employment branding, college recruitment, candidate relationship management, metric and analytics, and strategic sourcing. Create and drive diverse talent pipeline programs.
- Work with key stakeholders to analyze business goals, identify talent needs/or gaps to develop across the organization, and implement programs to find the right talent against current and future workforce planning strategies. This also includes, develop and implement an effective, engaging digital/social media plan to target, attract and recruit candidates.
- Manage a clear set of metrics, recruiting reports, and dashboards to analyze, forecast, track and communicate to the business and HRBPs, while using metrics to drive operational excellence across the team. Stay on top of trends in the industry and marketplace and maintain up-to-date knowledge of recruiting issues and trends and labor laws that have short term and long term implications.
- Serve as the internal Subject Matter Expert (SME) regarding talent management best practices as well as current trends in employee engagement/culture.
- Partner with key stakeholders including business leads to drive the execution of the TM strategy that aligns and integrates with the business objectives, company values, and employee culture.
- Provide guidance and subject matter expertise to collaboratively implement solutions and build stakeholder knowledge, skills and abilities in the following areas: Succession Management, Assessment/Selection, Gap Analysis, Development and Career Planning. Possess demonstrated knowledge of designing and implementing organization-wide talent management processes and programs including talent reviews, calibrations, succession planning, and performance management.
- Manage the budget for this function including travel & expense, vendors, tools, and events.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business; advanced degree in related field or certifications preferred.
- Minimum 10 years experience in Talent Management; Talent Acquisition; Organizational Development & Design and Employee Engagement. Demonstrated knowledge of 360, learning agility, EQ ,and other assessment tools.
- Proficient in anticipating and understanding business needs and taking the initiative to drive solutions with impact. Ability to understand all parts of the organization and their inter-dependencies and use that knowledge to influence and make decisions. Ensure talent organization is aligned with the goals and objectives of the company. Experience facilitating meetings, planning sessions, coaching and influencing skills. Knowledge of Human Resources laws, practices and procedures. Executive level verbal and written communication/presentation skills. Highly organized with strong initiative and superior work ethic. Possess a sense of urgency and independent action. Ability and desire to manage, develop and mentor team.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Applicant Tracking Systems, preferably Cornerstone.
