Job Summary

Develops the Company’s regulatory compliance program and collaborates with business leadership on strategy and actions plans to ensure that the Company’s overall compliance with relevant federal, state and local regulatory statutes. Contributes substantially to the enterprise regulatory compliance strategy and impacts corporate strategy through the enterprise regulatory compliance program. Advises on highly complex and/or sensitive regulatory compliance matters. Proactively works with the business on emerging regulatory compliance issues. Manages and assesses Regulatory Compliance risks and priorities on an enterprise level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop tactical and operational plans necessary to fully implement the enterprise regulatory compliance program.
  • Oversee the regulatory compliance program assessment strategy for the enterprise. This includes the processes and related tools to assess, manage and measure regulatory compliance program effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Lead key enterprise impacting regulatory compliance initiatives.
  • Collaborate with compliance leaders across Allstate to develop the compliance strategy for, and then govern or manage, large-scale, regulatory compliance projects.
  • Develop compliance strategy and oversee compliance for risks (e.g. – privacy, OFAC, SOX).
  • Understand broad developments in the regulatory compliance space and consult on impact to the business, with an eye toward continuous improvement.
  • Build cross functional enterprise partnerships to improve enterprise compliance processes.
  • Govern the enterprise processes and related tools to identify, capture, monitor, implement and report on regulatory compliance issues.

Experience

  • Extensive subject matter expertise in one or more relevant areas.
  • This position requires a combination of business acumen and in-depth knowledge of compliance concepts typically acquired through 10+ years of experience.
  • Experienced in leading and developing strategy for enterprise wide business and/or technology projects.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree; MBA or advanced degree helpful but not required
