Your role:
In your role as a project manager you will directly support the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) telemetry efforts within the U.S. Army’s Redstone Test Center’s Missile and Sensors Test Directorate (MSTD). Using your experience and skills in project management you will coordinate and manage activities ranging from telemetry system design and qualification to the delivery and flight support of fully integrated telemetry kits.
What you’ll do all day:
Lead and work as part of a multifunctional team.
Be responsible of overall project management to include activities such as data review, project coordination, and budget reviews.
Ensure telemetry projects are delivered on time, within budget, and within scope.
Act as a key interface between the THAAD project office and Redstone Test Center.
Serve as an active team member to span any gaps in the organizational support efforts including Quality, Configuration Management, Shipping, Travel, and any other project needs.
Identify and resolve issues that arise spanning from resource management to defining requirements.
Plan, execute, and monitor activities throughout the project life cycle.
Planning (schedule generation, make or buy decisions, resourcing requirements, meeting customer deadlines, travel support, project forecasting).
Procurements (vendor interaction, RFQs, purchase request (PR) submittals, PR tracking).
Inventory management (verifying received materials to monitoring, controlling, and updating inventory tools).
Configuration management (submitting Change Requests, ensuring drawing to hardware configurations, maintaining build sheets).
Budget activities (material/labor spend plans, fund allocation requests, expiring funds, cost estimating, ADSS/WBS project level management).
Communicate project plan and status to many internal and external stakeholders.

Minimum requirements for this position:
High School diploma or GED.
Associate’s degree (or higher level degree) in a related field.
Five (5) years of related experience.
Demonstrated project management experience.
Willingness and capability to obtain basic technical understanding of telemetry operation and functionality in order to effectively interface with stakeholders regarding changing requirements and mission goals.
Ability to operate at a high level in an agile project management environment while maintaining focus on mission goals.
Highly organized.
Comfortable interfacing with many stakeholders, including the THAAD prime contractor.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Government security clearance.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Must be a US Citizen.
Desired skills and experience for this position:
Demonstrated project management experience within the DoD environment.
Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering, business, or management related field from an accredited university or college.
Current active Secret, or higher, Government security clearance.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Experience with RTC’s Pro3, T3, and CET tool set.
Experience with COMSEC and Tempest requirements.
