Position Summary:

The Project Manager (Education) coordinates and supervises daily activities for projects such as course development, ensuring that projects finish on-time and achieve the stated business objectives; and participates in the development and maintenance of the Project Management Office (PMO).


As a Project Manager, you will:

  • Plan project resources and establish project plans with relevant business leads and PMO
  • Monitor and report on project and budget status; escalate issues as needed
  • Lead project meetings, distributing notes and next steps
  • Identify project stakeholders and manage stakeholder communications
  • Coordinate, prioritize, assign, and monitor project activities; track activity completion
  • Anticipate and resolve risks and blockers, escalating as necessary
  • With the PMO, anticipate the impact of scope and schedule changes on IIN strategic portfolio
  • Manage testing and product acceptance activities
  • Solicit and integrate feedback from the stakeholders to improve this and future projects
  • Ensure that project documentation is completed
  • Evaluate and assess the success of the project
  • Assist with development of and support of project management center of excellence
  • Coach and act as a project management resource to IIN team members
  • Actively build strong relationships with members of the IIN team across all departments

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Online Education or Instructional Design experience preferred
  • Expert at managing and tracking Agile implementation projects (Scrum and KanBan)
  • Experience managing multiple projects in fast-paced environments
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, MS Teams, JIRA
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking
  • Can prioritize, think critically, and see the bigger picture
  • Works well both independently and with a team
  • Can give and receive constructive feedback
  • Takes initiative to suggest solutions to problems
  • Flexible and able to adapt

Certifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification is a plus
  • Health Coach Training Program graduate preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
