FP&A is embarking on a multiyear transformation program which will redefine how financial planning is executed at Citi. A key pillar of the transformation is the development of a common model framework across global FP&A. This Planning Transformation Director will be responsible for leading this transformation pillar of the Dynamic Integrated Planning program, partnering with global FP&A teams as well as central PPNR and Modelling team.
This will begin by defining and refining a target state common model framework which will describe the forecasting approaches across FP&A planning processes. Initially this will focus on global standards and simplification of forecasting in the Operational Plan process. The common model framework will also create a taxonomy to describe and be a catalyst to improved alignment of forecasting approaches across Operational Plan and PPNR processes. Finally, the candidate will have responsibility for leading the development of corporate level forecasting approaches to support Strategic Planning. A core component of the role will be formulating and documenting technology requirements for a centralized model library which will support the execution of models on a common integrated infrastructure.
This is a senior, highly visible role which will have a major impact both internally on how planning is done at Citi, as well as responding to a number of regulatory commitments.
The ideal candidate: you will have 10+ years’ experience in FP&A, particularly in planning or modelling roles and as a result will have a strong understanding model policy standards, Citi’s product suite, data sources / infrastructure as well as planning systems. As this is a transformation role, you will be able to evidence success in leading significant projects or processes with a global scope. You will leverage your planning expertise to provide a vision for a simplified forecasting landscape for FP&A and will be comfortable engaging with senior Finance and Business stakeholders in debate and driving decisions. You will be highly driven, a self-starter able to execute under limited supervision.
