We are a local petroleum carrier looking to add an Operations Manager to our top-notch Team. This position offers the potential to grow into a General Manager position.
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and support 24/7 Dispatch Operation ensuring coverage at all times.
- Responsible for work flow of all Company terminals.
- Work with Risk Manager to ensure safety and compliance procedures in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Work with Human Resources Manager on training and employee performance management
- Respond to the customersâ needs in a timely and professional manner including meetings with customers when appropriate.
- Coordinate Driver and Dispatch schedules, including approval of time off.
- Answer directly to President of Company.
REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SPECIAL TRAINING, ETC.
- Minimum high school diploma required
- Strong managerial and communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong computer skills a necessity
- Strong organizational and leadership skills a must
- Some trucking or petroleum industry background a plus
