Provide technical support and resources to owners, franchisees, and development in planning, scheduling, and concept design of complex large-scale new projects and major renovations.
- Manage the development of the PIP ensuring all IHG brand, quality, property & safety standards are maintained.
- Support and/or develop detailed 5-year Capital/Asset Plans for IHG’s managed, owned, and leased estates.
- Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals, in collaboration with stakeholders ensuring proper approvals.
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths through planning and scheduling of project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
- Develop detailed cost plans for all agreed PIP scope. Collaborate across the team to manage the budget, track expenses and minimize exposure to risk.
- Develop comprehensive schedules for all agreed PIP scope, including design and procurement phases.
- Timely communicate concise status updates on assigned projects.
- Work with internal and external team to ensure quality and develop a thorough punch process with the General Contractor and operations team.
Education: University degree or college diploma in the fields of Architecture, Engineering, Procurement or Construction/Cost Management or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience.
Critical Expertise & Experience:
- 10 years progressive work experience in a project and cost management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution, preferably in the hospitality sector.
- Previously worked within an international/global organization, preferably in a service branded environment in the hospitality sector.
- Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Successful leadership of large multi-disciplinary project teams.
- Strong familiarity with project management software systems.
- Technically competent with various software programs such as MS Office.
- Skilled in reading and interpreting plans and specifications.
- Knowledge of building construction, materials and methods.
- Experience in estimating, preferably with software.
- Experience with scheduling software (Procore, Unifier) and design software (autocad).
- Strong analytical, problem solving, influencing and negotiation skills.
- Strategic thinker, with strong work ethic, high standards and an eye for detail.
