Seeking a leader to manage all intellectual property matters for âThe Most Respected Mid-Sized Public Semiconductor Companyâ in the world (GSA 2019 Awards).
Silicon Labs is a public technology company headquartered in Austin, Texas. We are seeking an experienced IP attorney to oversee all aspects of intellectual property prosecution, litigation and licensing. The candidate should have the maturity and expertise to interact directly with upper executives and technology leaders, and to strategically manage a $2M+ annual budget and a portfolio of over 1,500 patents. The legal team is a close-knit group and the successful candidate will interact with stakeholders in a variety of businesses and will be asked/empowered to work across multiple legal disciplines.
The position will report directly to the Chief Legal Officer in our offices in downtown Austin, Texas. The compensation package will include excellent benefits, salary, bonuses, and equity grants. The ideal candidates would have:
- a minimum of ten years of relevant experience
- skill in technology licensing, managing outside counsel, overseeing patent preparation and prosecution, and handling M&A and patent litigation matters
- a superlative academic record (electrical or computer engineering degree(s) preferred and a JD from a highly-ranked institution)
- admission in good standing before the USPTO and the State Bar of Texas
