Matternet is looking for a self-motivated, reliable, and task-oriented Executive Assistant to support our Founder/CEO. You will handle complex situations like simultaneously prioritizing support of long-term business initiatives with the immediate needs of managing the CEO’s agenda. You are professional and capable of balancing a multi-faceted workload and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment. You have a passion for our mission and bringing together all the smaller puzzle pieces to achieve the larger picture.
You Will:
- Manage and track priorities and commitments to help the CEO execute on the most important items for the company
- Assess inquiries directed to the CEO, determine the proper course of action, delegate to the appropriate individual to manage, and manage the follow-up
- Represent the CEO with professionalism in communications with team members, clients, and investors
- Review and summarize documents to help the CEO identify what is important and where to spend his time
- Drive agenda and execution of weekly leadership meetings, bi-monthly all-hands meetings, and Matternet’s quarterly leadership offsite
- Prepare presentations for internal and external audiences, including supporting the creation of regular updates to Matternet’s Board of Directors
- Ensure CEO is prepared for external-facing meetings i.e. presentation preparation, note summarization, background research
- Oversee a complex calendar, book domestic and international travel, secure meals, greet guests, etc.
- Draft and proofread communications for internal and external purposes
You Have:
- 5 to 8 years of experience in an organizational, scheduling, or assistant capacity
- Ability to anticipate problems and their solutions without explicit guidance
- Proven track record of effectively interacting with senior management
- Ability to apply structure/frameworks to unstructured problems
- Ability to collaborate with humility â you have an all-hands-on-deck/no-task-is-too small attitude
- Are highly professional, confident, reliable and a strong self-starter with a “can-do” attitude in addition to a flexible approach
- Exercise sound judgment, integrity, and professionalism in working with highly confidential and sensitive information
- Operate with a high sense of urgency, drive and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done
- Communicate, perform, and react well under pressure, ambiguity, and changing deadlines
- Degree in Engineering or Business Administration

- Speak fluently or near business fluency in German, French, or Japanese
- A strong academic record at a top university
