Overview
The Director of Reporting and Analytics is a leadership position responsible for leveraging analytic skills by turning data and information into action through the development and maintenance of division operational and clinical indicators. The Director of Reporting and Analytics will be a driver behind our continued growth and successes. The Director of Reporting and Analytics will analyze various business data, operational processes, outcomes, perform analysis and make actionable recommendations. The Director of Reporting and Analytics will undertake special projects as assigned by division leadership.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelorâs degree in Business, Finance or Computer Science from an accredited college or university.
- Masterâs Degree preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 yearsâ experience with data analysis and data reporting tools in a healthcare organization.
- High proficiency with SQL language and database management
Licenses/Certifications:
- None required
Responsibilities
- Research and analyze data, primarily clinical, and prepare and/or present related written and verbal reports.
- Gather analysis requirements by meeting with Division leadership, Clinical team and other Department Managers. Deliver detailed reports to executives, on which are highlighted observations and performance analysis.
- Ability to work outside the box with minimal supervision, identify and supply creative solutions based on data collected.
- Employ methodologies for data interpretation that are both diagnostic of the quality of care and outcomes, and predictive of opportunities to improve patient care, operational function and overall strategy.
- Leverage data collected to inform development of reports and dashboards in collaboration with corporate Business Intelligence team.
- Ability to conduct cost/benefit analysis and benchmark price comparison.
- Possess tactical, strategic, administrative and operational analytical capabilities.
- Produce and deliver related reports/presentations including summary conclusions and recommendations.
- Responsible for project management of multiple projects and development of reports using Excel, Tableau and other analytical platforms.
- Facilitate the education and training of regional and site staff in data interpretation, value and quality efforts in collaboration with divisional leadership.
- Perform general mathematical calculations for the purpose of determining metrics, trends, etc.

- Extensive experience with data visualization
- Must be able to apply sound judgement beyond a specific set of instructions and apply knowledge to different factual situations.
- Must be alert at all times; pay close attention to details.
- Must be able to work under stress on a regular or continuous basis
- Highly proficient in SQL, EHR, data warehouse and Tableau preferred
- Advanced knowledge of healthcare operations and claims management including working knowledge of CPT, ICD10 and other healthcare coding systems.
