Job Description

Position Summary: Work directly with the Vice President for Finance and Administration and the Finance and Administration senior team on collegewide strategic initiatives, with a focus on project management, communications, and change management. Multiple initiatives may happen concurrently and can span the entire Finance and Administration function, including human resources, facilities and operations, finance, and sustainability. This role is highly collaborative and will need to establish rapport and develop strong relationships with individuals and teams at all levels of the organization.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project Management:

Partner with Finance and Administration senior team to design and execute collegewide projects toward desired future state, with respect to people, process, technology, and cultural impact, and in alignment with shared principles around value and strategic impact.

Collaborate with senior team to design, develop and implement change management strategies and plans for transformational projects. Manage the plan timeline, deliverables and issues/risks.

Provide project management support for selected strategic initiatives, which may vary in length and scope.

Build relationships and collaborate effectively across initiatives and project team to ensure successful outcomes.

Identify and leverage shared resources for projects, as appropriate.

Ensure coordination of common connection points and integration with key campus partners.

Identify community involvement opportunities and manage the logistics.

Communications:

Develop and lead communications for the Finance and Administration organization, including web content, for strategic initiatives.

Partner with finance and administration senior leaders to develop internal communications to support change management and selected strategic initiatives.

Ideate, create, and disseminate messaging and specific events to enable change readiness and adoption. Collect feedback and share with senior team; continually assess status and update plans.

Build out and execute a schedule of regular communications and campaigns to key stakeholders.

Advise Finance and Administration senior team members on internal communications strategies.

Assist in developing presentation and communications content, including conducting research as needed.

Provide communication assistance to committees and project teams as assigned.

Serve as finance and administration liaison to College Relations to ensure proper use of communication standards and integration with collegewide communications.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS – Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience or the equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Graduate degree preferred.

Skills:

Demonstrated effectiveness in leading projects that cut across departments. The ability to develop and win support for a cooperative vision. Ability to plan and manage multiple projects simultaneously and balance time and priorities. The ability to listen effectively, calibrate appropriately, and identify critical paths quickly. Superior written, interpersonal, editing and communications skills. High degree of personal initiative, dedication and commitment to making the communication and change efforts successful and of the highest quality. Ability to provide superior client service to all levels of the organization with diplomacy, tact and confidence.
