The SALES MANAGER will generate group business in designated market segment and maximize revenue profitability using proactive sales activities in accordance with established company and hotel brand standards.
The Sales Manager is a key position within the hotel responsible for proactively soliciting appropriate business opportunities to achieve personal and hotel revenue goals.
The responsibilities of the position include:
- Maintain on-going relationships with current clients of the hotel to increase business from current clients.
- Maintain knowledge of the local market and upcoming events in the region.
- Effectively develop relationships within community to strengthen and expand customer base.
- Establish a targeted list of clients monthly, solicit and build relationships with target accounts or agencies.
- Use negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to maximize revenue.
- Conducts hotel tours for potential customers.
- Understand third party requests such as Hotel Planner.
- Create customer correspondence as required (sales agreements, proposals, etc).
- Meet sales goals as outlined by the General Manager.
- Complete weekly sales call reports to be turned in to the General Manager.
- Maintain detailed account files.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
