The Director, Field Support is responsible for development and delivery of plans, tools and resources in line with Red Bull North America’s (RBNA) Sales & Distribution channel strategies, enabling the teams to sell in and execute all retail intiatives with excellence.

Working closely with key stakeholders (Brand, Insights, Trade Marketing, Operations and Finance, this role will coordinate all functional contributions toward each initiative, owning end products and tools that allow Key Account teams to sell in programs effectively at retail, and Distribution to execute in store.
This role also oversees the Field Support Team responsible for execution of RBNA initiatives at field level (i.e., CPM, VIP, DP training) and coordination of POS delivery.

RBNA Retail Program Strategy, Process & Delivery

  • Own development of end to end sales support process, inclusive of systems (CPM, POS), annual field support calendar and communications plan
  • Lead dotted line cross functional teams inclusive of Insights, Brand Marketing, Trade Marketing, Retail Marketing, Operations, Finance to ensure retail plans are executable and aligned with sales channel strategies.
  • Combine inputs from each department to create retail sales plans for all RBNA Sales initiatives.
  • Guide retail execution across departments to ensure program success.

Retail Program Development

  • Package program elements from multiple RBNA HQ departments into a useable format for the Key Account and Distribution Teams to execute.
  • New product launches, seasonal packs, special cans consumer activations, independent trade programs (VIP) and Distributor communications (Bull News and Meeting in a box).
  • Provide all relevant material to support retail programs such as launch decks, plan-o-grams, sell sheets, conceptual selling presentations.
  • Ensure timely development of retail program material providing the Key Account and Distribution Teams the materials they need to execute
  • Gain feedback and alignment from Key Stakeholder in Brand, Sales and Insights
  • Conduct after action review with Sales & Distribution teams to assess effectiveness of program and execution.

Communication of RBNA Retail Programs

  • Package the retail plans into launch materials and communicate them to RBNA’s Key Accounts and Distribution (KAM / DPM) and RBDC / 3rd Party sales teams (GSM, DSM, ASM).
  • Lead distribution / launch of retail programs through conference calls, webex, email and 1:1 conversations with key stakeholders
  • Ensure all field employees in Key Accounts (KAM, SKAM, NAM, DKA, SDNA, VPKA) and Distribution (ASM, DSM, GSM, DPM, DOD, SDOD) have a clear understanding of retail programming elements.

Leadership, Coaching, and Development

  • Lead the team responsible for the development and communication of retail programs, Distribution initiative and Point of Sale (POS) Management
  • Develop their skills and capabilities in working cross functionally internally and externally
  • Ensure career development for entire team through focus of timely, specific and direct feedback and coaching.

EXPERIENCE


Your areas of knowledge and expertise

that matter most for this role:
  • Minimum 8 years CPG experience and 5 years-experience working with in field sales or program development.
  • Experience in Key, Regional or National account management and Distribution
  • Clear and proven ability to develop and implement successful sales and trade marketing strategies.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including presentation and facilitation abilities.
  • Strong knowledge of insights, marketing, sales and distribution principles.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; advanced degree a plus
  • English; additional language skills a plus
  • Travel up to: 25%
