Data Management and Migration Project Manager

M Powered Strategies seeks a mid-career consultant to support the Office of Technical Integration within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) initiative as a Data Management and Migration Project Manager. Responsibilities include coordinating and facilitating data management and migration efforts across multiple organizations and creating reports and briefing senior leaders on the status of data management strategy/planning and data migration. Strong candidates will have an ability to identify technical risk and develop mitigation strategies, coordinate with staff from multiple organizations to support related tasks and provide information back to appropriate project managers, and lead and facilitate meetings with appropriate task/project members and document after action items and follow up on tasks with due dates.


Minimum qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience is required. An additional 8 years of relevant experience may be substituted for degree requirements

  • Experience managing Information Technology related projects

  • Experience with life cycle and project management methodologies

  • Experience in tracking costs, schedule and performance progress

  • Strong ability to identify and mitigate risks

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business or related scientific /technical discipline is required

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in the VA

  • Experience implementing Electronic Health Records
