The Construction Superintendent takes part in all aspects of a project, including scope of work development, pre-construction, bidding, selection of vendors, construction, vendor supervision, close out, and post follow- up. This position will ensure the scope is meticulously executed and high quality is consistently maintained.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Will effectively manage relationships with sub-contractors, vendors, employees and support staff.
- Will ensure all parties execute the scope of work as per contract, brand standards, and quality requirements.
- Inspect and verify work in hotels as needed and on an on-going basis.
- Prepare and distribute drawings and specifications for obtaining bid proposals and compile information for project costs
- Assist management in the maintenance and improvements of the assets
- Follow contracts, estimates and construction timeline schedules for vendors and contractors
- Prepare and obtain building permits as applicable
- Supervise and direct in-house maintenance staff as needed.
- Assist Vice President of Design & Construction in decision making and information gathering regarding construction procedures and requirements
- All other duties as assigned

Requirements/ Qualifications:
- Bachelorâs degree or certifications in Construction Management or Engineering or similar experience required
- The ideal candidate has five or more years of experience in hotel-specific renovations or hospitality project management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel
- Ability to travel up to 75% in the role.
