To help with this, we’re looking for an outstanding Associate Director of Business Strategy – someone who’ll serve as our go-to intelligence resource, examining trends and identifying opportunities in the Marketing Services landscape and ensuring that Digitas makes informed strategic decisions. You will help form, validate, and incubate key strategic initiatives that will aid in the growth of our agency. Additionally, you will be responsible for advising leadership and providing recommendations to determine how we move forward.

This professional will support the Global Brand President and the extended leadership team through leading industry analysis for Digitas across the globe.

What you’ll do:
✦ Conduct custom research, source business intelligence, discern, monitor and package trends relevant to both our business and our clients business.

✦ Educate and collaborate with the leadership team across disciplines to shape the overall strategy of the agency. Advising leadership and providing recommendations to support the growth of the agency

✦ Synthesize data and create a detailed digest, summaries and reports on a regular publishing schedule.

✦ Identify critical themes that will impact our industry and our clients business

✦ Cultivate research relationships with external parties such as industry analysts

✦ Build sustainable relationships across the business: product, research & development and financial planning and analysis

✦ Be a thought-leader and trend expert, helping inform our product roadmap based on externally observed trends

Day-to-day, your role includes:
✦ Defining and staying up-to-date with emergent trends in the Marketing Services space and acquiring game-changing knowledge to influence strategy.

✦ Investigating competitor activity and identifying strategic opportunities and threats

✦ Partnering with leadership to pinpoint key areas for research and tracking as well as setting benchmarks to continually elevate performance

✦ Creating a comprehensive digest, strategic overview reports and summaries to ensure all stakeholders stay abreast of major industry developments and trends

✦ Partnering with internal leadership and third-party research companies to curate a timely and meaningful body of knowledge

✦ Gathering business intelligence, conducting principal research and interviews

✦ Synthesizing and dissecting data to identify game-changing insights

✦ Articulating findings and helping leadership to achieve an informed point-of-view

✦ Joining forces with NA Market Intelligence and Corporate Communications Analyst Relations to strengthen partnerships, including with Gartner and Forrester

✦ Establishing relationships of trust with industry experts, creating open communication channels to discern future strategies and preferences on products and suppliers

✦ Organizing briefings from third-party analysts on relevant topics
