The Assistant Director, Employer Relations strategically cultivates and strengthens corporate and government agency relationships and builds awareness among organizations about the Poole College of Management and the benefits of hiring Poole students and graduates. The Assistant Director provides leadership in undergraduate employment services within the Poole College Career Center. The goals of the position are to increase job posting, recruitment, and hiring activity for Poole undergraduate students and maintain existing strong relationships with the college recruiting partners. Primary duties of the assistant director include, but are not limited to: * Strategically identify and build relationships with state, regional, national, and international employers and alumni for recruitment of the collegeâ??s students and graduates. Actively pursue college relations/recruiter contacts as well as other hiring sources. * Work with employers to develop campus recruiting and student engagement strategies; evaluate the appropriateness of employer expectations; provide guidance on recruiting timelines and cycles; assist with diversity recruitment; provide assistance and ideas for marketing recruiting activities. * Manages the coordination of career events. Oversee the communication between appropriate campus departments and program participants. Conduct on-going assessment and provide feedback as to the effectiveness of such events. * Participate actively in various local, state, regional, and national organizations including, but not limited to, chambers of commerce, Societies of Human Resource Management, state agencies such as U.S. Dept. of Labor and Economic Development, etc. to stay informed of state, regional and national hiring trends and related issues. * Organize and set the annual recruiting calendar, including all deadlines and processes. Work closely with the Administrative Support Associate to schedule dates for employer information sessions, interviews, and fairs. * Assist employers with posting job and internship openings and sharing opportunities with students. * Work closely with the director to coordinate all recruiting fairs; set up and manage the career fair registration process; assist with securing campus facilities and vendors; market recruiting fairs to students and faculty. * Manage the design and delivery of communications and marketing material to students and employers regarding recruitment activities. * Design and develop recruiting marketing materials directed towards employers, including a recruiting pitch book, website content, recruiting communication and coordinate timing of communications to employers. * Analyze recruiting and job posting activity for the year; develop gap analysis reports; develops strategies for improving recruiting in areas of need. * Work closely with the Office of Institutional Research & Planning to implement graduate outcomes survey (Future Plans Survey). * Survey and assesses employer recruiting needs, quality of recruiting services provided, and other employer-related data management in order to improve the recruiting program. * Assist the director of career services in preparing and managing the department budget.
Minimum Qualifications:
