Vice President, Qualitative Research- Technology Lead
Our VPs have leadership experience in managing a team, success in developing high potential clients, and a proven track record of business development that delivers against our P&L. Industry contacts and strong customer relationships are a plus to form binding partnerships and the tools needed to get the job done in a bespoke manner both quickly and affordably.
As a Vice President, you are collaborative and a leader by nature, have brilliant people development skills, and a bundle of knowledge to share. You work closely with a variety of individuals from clients to understand their needs, and you excel in working with other senior Ipsos leaders to ensure brilliant research solutions to pressing client business questions.

WEST COAST BASED POSITION
As a VP in either of our Culver City, San Francisco, or Seattle locations, you would lead an experienced and remote team of researchers across the U.S. to service our tech accounts.
You will establish and solidify our qualitative expertise and offerings in order to best meet our customer’s needs in this fast-paced client landscape. This involves ability to set a strategic vision and action plan for your portfolio of clients, managing and leading a team of seasoned researchers, strong collaboration skills to work across our different Ipsos service lines, and establishing strong credibility, relationships, and business directly with our tech clients.

Client Business/Relationship Management
– Has strong Technology sector knowledge and has managed client relationships across a number of consumer and
B2B technology categories
- Has past experience with, and a passion for qualitative market research
- Consults with multiple clients and multiple client contacts to identify appropriate solutions to prioritize and meet client needs. Focuses on application of strategic business knowledge, qualitative methodology innovation and integration of Ipsos capabilities to improve services to client
- Identifies and builds strong relationships with influencers/decision makers within client organization.
- Partners with Ipsos’ qualitative and quantitative division managers to identify and develop new product capabilities to meet client objectives and needs.
Business Development
- Demonstrates strong understanding of IUU products and a general understanding of other Ipsos products and offerings to partner with Ipsos sister divisions and leverage growth opportunities with new clients and within clients across all Ipsos’ lines of business.
- Strategically seeks out and closes new client relationships and opportunities by illustrating compelling differentiation vs. the competition.
- Has a proven track record leading business growth
Internal Business Management
- Develop annual business plan to produce aggressive growth year over year and management of profit/pricing expectations.
- Assess and proactively work with cross-functional leaders to address internal resourcing needs and capabilities to properly support growing business.
- Be an active participant on the divisional Senior Leadership Team and contribute to the overall management of the division by providing input into key decisions and leading organization-wide initiatives as required.
- Proactively develops ideas and initiatives to improve sector and overall IUU performance, grow the capabilities and improve the performance of their team, sector and division.
Team Management
- Hires, manages and mentors staff to build cross-product knowledge, industry/marketing and unique client/industry knowledge to advance insights and innovative qualitative research capabilities
- Help identify new moderator candidates and assist with their hiring and training according to Tech sector strategic priorities
- Builds Technology sector-level knowledge across the research and operations functions and throughout the broader team.
- Fosters a positive work environment where staff are excited to be a part of their sector team and maximizes the potential of all their staff
Deliverables
- Deliver research that produces high levels of client satisfaction and loyalty vs. competition.
- Work with project teams to provide strategic insights and actionable recommendations that positively affect client’s business.
Revenue and Profit Management
- Contributes to and actively manages assigned team revenue and profit margin. Manages the ongoing sector finances to ensure monthly and annual financial targets are met
- Sets and achieves revenue and gross profit objectives for the projects handled by team, responsible for setting pricing strategy for assigned clients and working closely with internal functions
- Develops ongoing relationships with key clients creating year over year revenue streams via repeat business and preferred supplier relationships
- Develop and Maintain strong partnerships with Other Ipsos Divisions to coordinate ongoing client management and respond to new business opportunities.
