Overview
Ensure that HT&P (Hot Tapping & Plugging) projects and customers are managed in a highly professional and customer-focused way in compliance with customer requirements and TDW standards, from first client inquiry until the successful job completion; including scope, estimate, quote, field execution, invoice and final reporting in efforts to obtain project success.
Responsibilities
- Utilizes project management best practices.
- Implement corporate policies and procedures.
- Drives cooperation between all Western Hemisphere HT&P resources including Quoting, Scheduling, Coordination, Project Management, Operations and Invoicing as well as Manufacturing and Engineering to deliver TDW solutions to the customer.
- Recommends process/procedure improvements and tool/equipment improvements to appropriate TDW personnel.
- Emphasizes professionalism and safety with all internal/external customers.
- Works with all HT&P resources to help them understand and practice the HT&P Project Management role, responsibilities and best practices.
- Collects and reviews all HT&P project information required from internal/external customers in efforts to execute successful HT&P projects.
- Supports the generation of quotes, reviews quotes/invoices as requested for accuracy and compares to Scope of Work in addition to collaborating with Sales Rep, Regional Management and local management team to ensure proper pricing and invoicing.
- Generates and processes Change Orders in a timely, efficient manner.
- Publishes, documents and communicates Pre-Job Meeting Notes and/or Scope of Work on each HT&P project.
- Monitors, participates and communicates in overall project background, objectives, scope of work and deliverables.
- Attend site visits and customer meetings as necessary.
- Identifies and coordinates resources (people and equipment) and assigns individual responsibilities within the project team, including vendors, sub-contractors and field personnel, engineering etc.
- Manages customer expectations relative to the job scope, scope changes, work execution and invoicing.
- Establishes, assigns, documents and communicates project Risk level to the customer and HT&P organization on all projects.
- Works with all HT&P resources to mitigate project risk and company exposure.
- Lead technical discussions on process, procedure, tools and support equipment.
- Collaborate with other Project Mangers on best practices including Operational Excellence, Project Management Practices, Business Development, Behavior, Organization, Communication, Safety, TDW Compliance and Extreme Customer Commitment. Drive One TDW culture.
- Ensures execution of the job from beginning to end to achieve customer satisfaction.
- Demonstrates appropriate commercial and technical creativity to meet expectations of the demanding business.
- Coordinates service delivery with sub-contractors and vendors.
- Relays information between the customer and TDW internal departments.
Qualifications
- Degree or technical training preferred, but will consider a combination of education and experience.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, but not required.
- PMP, PgMP or PMI-ACP certification preferred.
- Some project management experience required.
- Basic knowledge of pipeline operations is required.
- Extensive experience in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint with working knowledge in project management package software.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong organization skills and rigor, capability to work in a team on fast moving projects.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
