The non-profit KIPP Foundation trains and develops outstanding educators to lead KIPP schools, provides tools, resources, and training for excellent teaching and learning, promotes innovation, and facilitates the exchange of insights and ideas within the KIPP network and with partners including: other charters, districts, colleges and universities, and non-profit organizations across the country.
THE OPPORTUNITY
The KIPP Foundation is seeking a critical thinker and systems builder, who can create processes and operating procedures for cross-team collaboration, learning and executional excellence. As the Senior Director, Knowledge and Impact you will be responsible for managing the internal functions to ensure a high-functioning Network Services Team (NST). You will oversee NST’s program management and evaluation, knowledge management, staff development and event design and operations teams.
This position reports to the Chief Network Services Officer.
You will lead:
Knowledge Management
- Define and drive NST’s approach to knowledge capture, codification and dissemination
- Set up NST’s operating processes and systems to prioritize reflection on and analysis of program execution
- Support sharing across programs and teammates, including the establishment and nurturing of shared reflection spaces and communities of practice
- Capture lessons learned in the field and disseminate to NST and other stakeholders
- Collaborate with the Chief of NST to ensure that all NST staff deeply internalize our school and regional points of view and are prepared to leverage codified tools in their work
- Collaborate with other KF teams to ensure alignment of NST tools and frameworks with other KF products and services
- Work with KF lead for knowledge sharing to ensure our tools and frameworks are accessible and up-to-date on knowledge sharing platforms
Program Management and Evaluation
- Partners with other KIPP Foundation teammates to develop systems and structures to ensure collective impact and high quality of all NST programs and strategies
- Drive a consistent approach to ongoing data analysis and reflection to increase the impact of NST strategies and programs using impact data, feedback from KIPP regions and an anti-racism approach
- Outline approach to program evaluation and work with NST leaders to collect and utilize data on short and long-term effectiveness
- Maintain organizational standards for program quality, performance and operating procedures
- Partner with Chief of NST on strategic and annual planning
- Manage program operations team to ensure excellent service and support to our programs and their participants
Staff Development and Leadership
- Create strategy and structures for NST team members to norm on points of view about excellent schools and regions and on our role in supporting our network
- Outline and codify NST cultural norms and expectations for within-team and cross-team learning and collaboration
- Use program evaluation data to determine focus areas for professional development and facilitates NST-wide professional learning and development
