Job Summary:
The primary function of the Sales and Marketing Vice President (SVP) is to direct and manage the sales and marketing efforts of Boone Homes, Inc. (BHI). The SVP shall be available at reasonable times to meet with BHI Community Sales Managers, Realtors and prospective buyers.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Manage and direct the BHI sales force to include training, and recruiting.
- Develop and maintain sales reporting and sales support programs.
- Direct, manage and administer BHI marketing plan and programs to include:
- Social media
- Advertising
- Digital
- WEB site
- Model sales offices
- Signage for communities
- Meet with prospective customers, with BHI CSM present, to review customer request for customization, discuss pricing, and answer customer questions about the construction process.
- Provide BHI CSM with the final contract pricing and sketches/renderings of the customization.
- Coordinate and execute “plan review” meetings at BHI office with customer and applicable BHI staff during established hours of business.
- Perform special projects as directed by the President
- Conduct weekly walkthroughs on all BHI neighborhoods and BHI speculative properties paying special attention to BHI company goals.
- Maintain familiarity with Competitors product line and offerings inside and outside of Richmond area paying special attention to design trends and innovation within the industry
- Maintain knowledge of Planned community/subdivision site development and development plans for each neighborhood for sales and construction phase support
- Meet with Construction, Drafting and Estimating periodically to trouble shoot customization design, uncover and correct flaws as recognized and keep pricing in line with BHI option norms.
Qualifications and Credentials:
Requires at least five (5) years sales management, and or estimating experience in higher-end residential construction. Prior experience must include direct client contact and should include contract drafting and administration. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, economics, engineering or construction preferred. Must possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.

- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to convey clear, well-articulated instructions to a diverse audience.
- Experience in the building industry that provides competence and confidence in all realms of residential construction and development.
- Able to provide excellent customer service to potentially demanding customers.
- Possess public communication skills that allow the SVP to represent BHI in a professional manner to customers, developers, realtors and the general public.
- Computer skills to include social media internet and Microsoft office

- Intuitively able to reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment in order to solve problems.
- Able to apply mathematical skills and algebraic principles generally involved in cost analysis
