Position Summary

The Project Manager is a key contributor to Banner’s Lighting team and will be responsible for project management; you’ll also prioritize those projects to improve the profitability, efficiency and success rates of special and derivative projects within the business unit. In this role you’ll collaborate with customers and the engineering, sales and operations teams to create customized products that are then delivered on time and within resource constraints.


Responsibilities

  • Provide project management oversight and determine project priorities for multiple and continually changing products, including specials and derivatives
  • Improve and implement processes to positively impact our revenue growth, customer satisfaction and time of concept to sale
  • Rapidly create and process business cases that include the product specification, the planned scope, cost and schedule, the product’s value to customers, and opportunity cost impact
  • Guide project teams in the delivery of prototypes and final products to meet customer expectations
  • Contribute directly to engineering and manufacturing efforts, with a focus on special products
  • Manage project management processes with an emphasis on continuous improvement, documentation, training and governance
  • Participate in quarterly Product Development Project Management Focus Team meetings, and present to peers
  • Evaluate customer product requests, and work with the engineering team to determine which products to pursue
