JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the successful initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control and closure of a project. They will champion customer communications, financial management, and scheduling during project execution. A key responsibility is risk management and financial management. This position makes decisions concerning all aspects of a project to lessen the impact of risk on the successful outcome of a project.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading a team when necessary
- Delivering a quality product on time and within budgeted estimate
- Verifying, planning, and communicating project scope during Project Kick-Off Meeting (PKOM)
- Activity planning and scheduling through use of MS Project Gantt charts
- Communicating resource planning requirements to Director of Production and Plant Manager
- Completing project documentation to include PKOM Checklist, Weekly Project Status Reports for customers, Engineering Change Requests (ECRs)/Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), Equipment Ship Release forms, etc.
- Reporting monthly job profitability; monitoring weekly
- Managing risks and issues which could negatively impact job profitability and delivery
- Communicating weekly with internal customers and project team on job status
- Additional items as assigned by manager
PRINCIPAL CONTACTS INSIDE/OUTSIDE THE COMPANY
This position interacts with Customers, inside/outside sales reps, and most Company employees including shop personnel, shop supervisors, estimators, salespersons, accounting, quality control, purchasing, engineering, and senior management.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred
- At least 1 to 3 years of experience in project coordination within a manufacturing operations environment
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification desired
