Work Schedule: 8am- 5pm Monday – Friday
All areas of Sedgwick County require IT software to do their business, some of which is developed internally and some of which they buy from a third-party vendor. It is the job of the Senior Application Managers to manage projects and provide advance knowledge on information systems and information technology concepts. The Senior Application Manager needs to have a complete understanding of department functions, goals, and work processes, as well as train and communicate how to use the software across the organization. Senior Application Managers engage with people at all levels of the organization, and work as part of an IT team. The Senior Application Manager must possess a greater knowledge of application management, infrastructure, information systems, project management concepts, networking, and document process flows. They will operate with greater independence, less direct supervision, and should be aware of and ensure that County policies are followed during the course of their daily work. Senior Application Managers should possess management skills to effectively lead staff and have the ability to be a mentor.
